Is this not the best teaser wedding photo ever?!? Look at the excitement on their faces! 🤗 I had the honor of photographing Samantha (@samyurkosky) and Huy’s (@hbnyc1) magical wedding at @theboxhousehotel this past weekend. All I have to say is that I was deeply moved by the love that these two have for one another. Wow! Honestly, I’ve never been so emotional at a ceremony in my life! Today I meditated on a fallen tree by the lake in Prospect Park. When I opened my eyes, I found myself quite entranced by these branches above my head. After taking a photo, I flipped my camera, and found something really interesting. Not sure what to make of it other than it reminds me of something out of “A Nightmare Before Christmas” 😂 What do you see in this image? Does anything come to you mind when staring at it? 🤔
Yesterday morning I had the honor of photographing @kmp.consulting with her pride and joy, best friend, and one true love, Petra. Here’s one of the very first shots from the day. Kristin-Marie set Petra down for a moment so that she could get situated, and I couldn’t help but capture the way Petra stared at her. Petra has been in her life for 15 years and their bond is a special one. I’m thankful that I was given the opportunity to capture these two. More to come! I love this time of year during these first few warmer days. Everyone’s out! Chipmunks, squirrels, robins, blue jays, cardinals, swans, ducks, humans, dogs. And the trees with their buds ready to burst!? I can’t help but smile. What a beautiful weekend to be in the park! 😊 #thankful
Last night I got to meet my all time favorite artist, Nils Frahm. Finally hearing him and seeing him perform live, and then, shaking his hand and speaking with him after the show was a dream come true. I’ve always had a goal of one day creating a sound room in my home where I could go and listen to all of my favorite music within an acoustically engineered space. The first time I heard Nils’ track, Says, I knew that that would be the very first track to play in the sound room. So, last night, not only did I purchase that record, Nils was also kind enough to sign it for me. Says is also significant to me because last year, I shared it with a dear friend of mine who I had lost touch with. Says was the beginning of the rekindling of that friendship and today, it’s a friendship that I deeply cherish. Nils, if you’re reading this, I want to thank you again for being the spark and continuing to inspire me everyday with your incredible music 🙏🏼 #nilsfrahm
It makes me so happy to share this photo with all of you. Here is my cousin, Victoria, and her husband, Brendan. This is my favorite wedding photo of all time and also my favorite wedding moment of all time. I consider Victoria, @victoriamcnamee, a sister of mine and I love her dearly. The moment that Brendan picked her up, kissed her, and carried her to the reception, I fell in love with that man too. I’ll never forget Brendan asking me, “Can I pick her up now?!?” I tear up and laugh thinking about it! This photo is pure love and joy and it so encapsulates Victoria and Brendan. The love these two have for each other, as well as their two beautiful daughters, is magical. March 8th marked their four year wedding anniversary and here’s to many many more beautiful years together. I love you Victoria and Brendan ❤️🙏🏼😊
